Water Wheel

Image
Water Wheel I was on a field trip for my photography class in Seattle. This is a photo of the Seattle Great Wheel that is built over Elliot Bay, surrounded by the Colman  Ferry Dock. I took this because I think it's an iconic part of Seattle. I wanted to post this because I really like this picture, I wish I had gotten a little more light in it though, to lighted up the left side. I didn't really do anything special with the camera, it was just on program mode. I really like the sun flare in the top left corner, I love how they look.

Reaching Branch

Image
Reaching Branch This tree is in the next door neighbor's yard of my old house. I've always liked how it looks, with the one branch grow out. It looks like it's trying to reach for something. I changed the depth of field, blurring out the left side part of the tree, and leaving the end of the reaching branch in focus. I do like how it came out, but I wish I had stepped back a little more and gotten part the other tree to the right, more in frame.

Haunted House

Image
Haunted House This house is in my old neighborhood. I've always liked how it looked. It used to be a dark brown, but when I was still living by it, they remodeled it and someone bought it. I used to think it was haunted. It had a rooster wind turner thingy on the highest par of the roof, and can still see the pole it sat on,  and it would always point at you if you were standing near the house. I'd pretend like that meant you were going to die. I just snapped a quick picture with the D7200, nothing special. I like how it turned out, but I defiantly could have been more interesting. I wish I'd taken pictures from all sides of the house, the front door, the back. This house has a beautiful red door.

Red Flare

Image
Red Flare This is a photo that I took. It is an edited version, I just extenuated the colors. I was just walking around and I saw this tree, and I took a picture of it with a Nikon D7200. I choose to post this picture because I really liked how I edited it and how the tree looked. I also enjoy the little sun flare circles in the top right corner. I didn't really do anything special to take it, I think I had it on program mode. I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. If I could have done anything different, it would just be to have taken more photos of the tree, gotten different angles. I have a problem with not taking very many pictures of each subject.
